My family LOVES playing games. It's a great way to bond and have fun together. We play all sorts of games--trivia, card games, games with dice, board games, word games, you name it. And we're pretty competitive. Especially my brother and me. We really dive whole-heatedly into the game. Today, my family played Yatzee, Apples to Apples and Bananagrams. I got my first Yatzee is a very long time!! I was pretty proud of the way my score sheet turned out. I didn't have a single zero on the sheet. However, I didn't win. My mom beat me by a mere fifteen points. However, I came back and avenged myself in Apples to Apples. The game lasted about five minutes because I won the green card every single round except for the round I judged. Bananagrams is always a family favorite. It combines word skills with strategy and luck. My dad will often ask how to spell words (multiple times throughout the game, in fact) because he's not the best speller in the world. The first round, my mom won by a fraction of a second. I literally finished right when she said, "Winner." I won the second round, though. :)
Hanging out with family is such a blessing. I am so very grateful for a family who I can have movie and game nights with, who love spending time together and just being our normal, weird selves (and trust me, my family can be plenty weird)!
