"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angles nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."--Romans 8:38-39 Have you ever realized the magnitude of those verses? If you are a believer in Christ Jesus, NOTHING you do or situation you are in could EVER separate you from our God. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. No sin. No shame. No regret. No embarrassment. No past. No future. No present. No mistake. No earthly desire. No choice. No trial. No tribulation. Nothing. You are forgiven and loved.  Romans 8:1-2 says, "There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death." You are free from the shame and grip of your sin. Did you hear that? Christ has set you free. You are no longer guilty but washed white as snow. Ch...

Woo!

I am finally deaccessed (again) and finished with this course of IV antibiotics (again)!!!!!!! Hallelujah. I've been on IVs for almost seven weeks of the summer, which has seemed like forever. Maybe I can actually have a real summer vacation now, complete with swimming, enjoying the outdoors, and sleeping through the night?! We'll see. I know the IVs keep me as healthy as possible, and my lungs need all the help they can get, but I am SO ready to have a break from IVs for (hopefully) a few months! Tata for now. I'm off to enjoy my freedom. :)

Free!

I'm finished with my sixteen day course of IV antibiotics!! Unless you go through regular IV therapy like I do, you probably don't understand the sheer joy I feel because I'm disconnected from my port for awhile. So let me just tell you, it is wonderful. I can shower without worrying about getting the tape wet. I can exercise with greater ease. I can even sleep on my stomach again! I'm no longer restrained by my schedule (antibiotic schedule, that is). Don't get me wrong, I needed those IVs. Without drugs as strong as IV Imipenem or IV Colistin, I would not have the same quality of life I do now. They keep me from being chained to an oxygen tank, and I am so grateful! But even though my heart overflows with thankfulness for scientific and medical research, I am SO happy to be deaccessed from my port (at least for a little while!)

May we never forget

September 11, 2001. A day we will never forget. I was in third grade when this disaster struck our nation. I remember being in utter shock and disbelief of the images I was seeing on the television. How could my home country be under attack?? What was going on? How could we protect ourselves?  Even though I was young, I will never forget that tragic day, the emotions I felt but also the patriotism of the country.  I am so grateful for the men and women serving our country who are fighting to defend freedom and liberty. I can't imagine the sacrifice our troops go through on a daily basis, consistently dying to their desires to serve the needs of the country. They give so much more than we could ever dream. So men and women of all branches of the military, thank you for serving. Thank you for fighting. Thank you for standing firm in your convictions and striving to better society. I will forever remember that I have the freedoms I do because of you!
